    Saturday 9-23-06

    No Saturday thread?
I am up early, feel asleep early so got up at 7:00 early for a weekend.
I am so excited about starting my new job, but I still have a week left at my current job. argh....oh well....

The fair should be fun, I haven't been to a County fair since we moved from Upstate NY....My brother is so excited just to spend time with us...I feel like we have lost so much time....I can't believe how grown up his boys are....8 and 17...seems like yesterday I was rushing to the hospital to see my nephew born not 17 years ago....(brothers first wife liked me and I was there for my nephews birth)....I am lucky my dh and brother get on so well....I think he is lonely for adult converstation...still hashing out his divorce agreement, they are still in the same house...argh.....I can't even imagine....should be legally seperated by the end of the month...then they can move out and sell..quick before housing prices slide too low for them to make a profit....

    ok I rambled....

Godness its Saturday and dh is going to get Coffee....

Oh great news...I got my period yesterday and realized I am wearing my a pair of jeans I haven't worn about 4 months...I have lost 13 pounds...YIPPEE
    only 30 more to go....

LOL, no not at all.......DH has been snipped.....I was just surprised that even with the bloating I could get my butt in those pants....

I have been working my butt off to loose this ugly weight...I can't tell you how much I have gained in the last year...but lets just say the scale was pushing close to that 2 mark.....OCCH....

hell, all dd did was move her dolls into the playroom! LOL
we making the bed look like a daybed, but she won't have a frame. she will have the canopy behind it so that will make it look pretty special. it's amazing how much room she has now.

    Morning!

Woke up early went back to sleep on couch....work up feeling yucky still...but now it's cleared up some...thinking about going out for a bit....nothing major.

We're supposed to go to the fair tomorrow...but I may skip it...It's rainy this weekend. Don't want a relapse.

Just looked up and realized it's rain now ...so may skip going out. But I'm so bored!

    Well have a good day!
    Enjoy Today

Ds had a soccer game this morning. They won again. Ds even scored a goal! Dd was babysitting and the dad was home sleeping (he's working nights) and the dad fell (in the bathroom) and split open his head. Dd helped him (after he had gotten himself back into bed) and the wife came home (she was at a baby shower) and took him the the ER. I went and got dd and the little boy to come hang out over here. Hopefully the dad's ok. We have known these people for about 10 years. Dd was so calm about the whole thing. I'm very proud of her. That's our excitement for the day.

Wow Jen! That's a lot of excitement for your dd!! Glad she was calm and there to help him out.

Renee, have fun at the fair!

Home from work. We're headed out to do some shopping, I guess, since we kept dd home from the camping trip b/c of her arm. Maybe bring home a movie for tonight.

Went to ds's fb game this morning and then the boys lollygagged after with dh, so dd and I came home and sneaked in a quick nap. I have been up coughing all week, so haven't had much sleep. Dks want to meet friends at a movie later this afternoon and I am on a mission to find a pic frame for dd's newest pics.

Jen - Have fun shopping with dd!!

    Renee - Enjoy the fair!!

JAK - Wow about your dd and her being so calm!!!

Dd#2 had a soccer game this morning, then we went out to breakfast and then... we went out "looking" at houses. It was fun! Nothing else today except cleaning house.

Do you have the itch to move or was it just for fun?? I think if I started looking I'd totally get the itch to move or re-do a million things here. LOL

Got everything ready for the ball party tonight. Just have a few things to do that I can't do until last minute.

DS got the job he interviewed for this a.m. He starts orientation tomorrow at 4 pm. I am so excited for him!!! Unfortunately the first thing he has to tell them is not to schedule him for work on Sun., Oct. 1 as we have NFL tickets to see Minnesota in Buffalo (GO MINNY!!!). But he's already explained to the lady that he has hockey every Sunday anyway, just he won't know what time until he gets his schedule tomorrow at his first game. Have I mentioned how excited I am for him, lol? He'll be working at Canadian Tire doing "carry out"...which means stocking shelves, moving stuff from back to front and helping carry out for customers, etc. I hope he likes it.

Bev, good for your ds!!! you should be very proud of him. i was telling ds just yesterday that he needed to get a job!

    JAK..wow! good for your dd!!!

i am pooped! rearranged dd's room and cleaned the sucker out..she is a pack rat and a hoarder!!!! brought in the twin bed and put it length ways on the wall under the canopy and dressed it like a day bed. just used her full size bedspread and dust ruffle. put her hand painted camp trunk in front like a coffee table. she has one of those sling chairs, put that up under the window with her nightstand next to it. it looks really nice and very grown up, like a studio apartment! LOL
i need to now tackle the playroom again! and move her old bed out to the garage.
    pooped!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm ROFLPMP here... I thought you said you just need to move her "old dad" out to the garage! It's what I get for skimming! Her room sounds neat! Hopefully the playroom won't take too much work since you just did it (right? or was I skimming again???).
Today is a new day and a good day to start anew.
