Working retail I certainly pull my share. I have to work most every weekend from now through January and our weeknight hours are extended too.

I have to work every Christmas Eve, but being the wonderful emplyoee that I am, LOL, I do get my pick of the hours. This year I'll pull 8-1. I'll still miss the bil's brunch, but at least I'll get to go to 5:00 church....

I'll work the day after T'giving and the day after Christmas.

I was always lucky to be able to post that I was taking certain day's off... and I always got them. Dh's day's/hours are always flexable, he gets paid the same no matter what, so he's always been able to take off whenever he's wanted. We usually try to work our holiday festivities around the girls and when/what times they're working. It's not only an issue of work or not working anymore... but they all have other sides of the family we have to share them with too, so were not always going to have them when we want them either. (It wouldn't be fair to our SIL's) I'm sure we'll work something out though that we can all be happy with.

Since Christmas is on a Sunday, I am off. The store is going to be open though? I am trying to get that Monday off, but that's iffy. I have have to work, I am going to see if I can do a midshift and not opening cause I have 20 people coming to my house for Christmas dinner!
I asked for the day after Thanksgiving off, but that's iffy too.

Christmas is on Monday this year.

Dh and I both work contract, so no one can really tell us when we have to work, we just don't get paid when we take off.

The kids are all off the whole week of Thanksgiving, so we took that off. Not sure about Christmas. We'll probably just take
christmas day off and that's it unless some of dh's family comes to visit.
