    Good brand of hot dogs?

Is there such a thing? We don't eat hot dogs much, but the fam has decided to do hot dogs and s'mores roasted over the fire at the cabin on Christmas Eve. I'm bringing all the fixin's for that, but would like to have a really tasty hot dog and not just a blah one. (I usually buy Bar S brand if we're going to have them at home. As far as I'm concerned the dog is the filler and the condiments are the main, lol!)

Can you get Zweigles there? They are the natural casing hotdogs. If you have to eat hotdogs, those are the ones to eat. LOL

I only buy Hebrew National Dinner Franks (they are really big). The regular-sized ones are great too and probably better for kids and large groups. They are very yummy!

We seldom ever eat them but when we do I buy Ball Park all beef franks.
(then cover them up with mustard, ketchup, chili and pickle relish so I can't taste them)

I don't know if we can get Zweigles or not, Amy. I'll check at our Wal-mart and IGA. It did say on the link that they were in stores on the east coast... don't know if they've made it this far or not.

I've heard of the Hebrew National and will keep that in mind, Mickey. Are the dinner franks more like brat-size?

That's exactly the way I do it, Jenn! Hmmm... wonder if this could be a whole 'nother topic... foods you "doctor" to disguise the taste. Kinda like adding enough sugar to your tea that it doesn't taste like tea anymore!

Here the best brand is Schneider's Red Hots. I'm not a fan of hotdogs so I'm not as fussy as dh is, since I likely won't eat them anyway, lol.

ROFL! Now I'll be standing in front of the hot dogs, laughing my head off. But, since it'll probably be Walmart, no one will think it strange.

Yes, they are bigger (too big for some kids, I would think), but still hot dogs.

I agree. Dh and ds2 (both love hot dogs) will not eat anything else. Sometimes they like the Jumbo ones but always that brand. They seriously cringe at anything else. LOL I eat them if I have to, camping or whatever, but I don't like them.

We very seldom ever eat hot dogs, probably more in the summer when we grill out. When we do have them... they're usually Ball Park all beef franks.

It's funny I originally started buying these when I was living on my own and had no money. They were the cheapest....but now their the only ones I'll buy.

Bar S pork, chicken, beef. I hate all beef.
