    Saturday...

    Saturday already.

Up way too early, couldn't sleep. Thinking I might lay down a little later this afternoon and take a short nap.

Not much planned for the day. Probably working on the bathroom. We can continue on now that the pipes aren't freezing up on us anymore. Can't wait until it's all done.

Going to SAM's some time today, will probably end up going to Home Depot at some point today to pick up our floor tile. I've still got to watch Men in Tree's that I didn't get to watch on Thursday night because I watched ER instead. We might meet up with our neighbor for dinner, but that's not set in stone yet. Not much else.

Hope you all have a great day!

got my table all set for the dinner party tonite..looks fantastic if i say so myself! LOL I got tickled at myself. My pottery is all mix and match and very bright jewel tones so it works well with my mardi gras table. so I was laying out the plates to make sure no two same colors were next to each other..felt like i was doing a reverse rubic's cube! LOL
just gonna finish cleaning the house, just bathrooms and vacumning. our 'new' couch looks so great! can't remember if i mentioned this. good friends of ours were getting a new couch and i asked what they were doing with their old one and offered to buy it. and they gave it to us!!! a beautiful camel back maroon leather couch!!! FREE!!!!!!

Can't beat a free couch. I want a new living room suit when we move or to at least get mine reupholstered (but they say that is just as expensive as buying a new set). I really don't care because I love my couch and it's still got another 10 years at least left in it. I'm just so over the fabric right now.

It's a camel back sofa with rolled padded arms and a single cushion. The single cushion is what I'm having a hard time finding unless it's more of a Victorian sofa. There is a Nebraska Furniture in KC so that will be the first place I look for one.

I'm not sure what's on tap for today. I know that dh is going to be doing alot of yard work that needs to be done. Cleaning the porches, siding and garage. It's going to be beautiful tomorrow. Wish I could help, but I'm going to have to be content to sit back and supervise with tea in hard. Life's just so unfair when you're on the mend. I really wouldn't mind a little yard work though, reminds me that Spring is on the way!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank goodness it's Saturday. I got hit by the ds's cold and feel like I've been in a knock-down, drag-out fight. Ds2 was up most of the night again, crying, but not able to tell us why (he's not real coherent in the middle of the night). Finally he said his cheek hurt, and then his ear. Same ear that was infected a couple of weeks ago. I put the numbing drops in his ear and gave him Tylenol and that helped. So... we're off to clinic as soon as they open.

Ds1 is 12 today. I have mixed emotions, lol. We're going to CE Cheese's in Tucson and having cake and ice cream tonight w/the grandparents.

I'd rather crawl back in bed, lol.

Hope ya'll have a great Saturday.
Today is a new day and a good day to start anew.

Kat, if you have a good well made sofa, it's not necessarily cheaper to buy a new one. Most couches need 10-15 yards of fabric. You can get $40 a yard fabric for $600..that's about the cheapest I have ever seen a sofa and I am not real sure how well made they are. My friend who just got the new one (now granted it's a sectional) but it was full priced at $4800 and she managed to get it for almost half price.

Ann, the couch and the dinner table sound fantastic. I haven't set my dinner table yet! In fact, I haven't done anything yet for my dinner party tonight. Might go see my Dad at the Legion this aft with a sister and her dh...he said another BIL was taking him out there.

The table sounds pretty, Ann (do you have Fiestaware?)
    Take it easy, Kat!
Happy Birthday to your ds, Pam!
Love the glasses in the other thread, Renee!

Garage door guy just left (he repaired the opener).
Locksmith coming to make me a key for my car.
Washing baby clothes, working on Bridget's room.
I have to start preparing for my surgery tomorrow by starting to take some chewable antacids before meals. Dh leaves tomorrow on a business trip and he and my mom get here (different times) on Tuesday night. Need to be at the hospital at 5:30 Wednesday morning. Getting nervous! Had my last OB/GYN prenatal appointment yesterday. Time is just FLYING by!

I lost my only key to my car. Nissan told me I'd be looking at $300+ labor to get it re-keyed. However, I called a locksmith who told me that because my car is older ('96), it doesn't have a chip in the key, so I'm now looking at $65! (And if I were resourceful enough to remove the trunk lock and take it to him, it would have been a lot cheaper.) Thank goodness!

The garage door opener needed a transmission. The piano store guy just called and he's going to pick up the pianos on Monday so I can get the bookcases out of the baby's room. (I'm FINALLY nesting at 4 days to go! LOL!)

I will email you. Is your email address the same as it was a couple of years ago?

Oh! One more thing! WE NO LONGER HAVE A ROOMMATE!!! He left yesterday! Going to clean that room for my mom!
