    Monday

It's my first day of work!!! Never thought I'd be so happy about going back to work. LOL Still nervous though. I have no idea what I'm even doing today. It might just be paperwork stuff, but who cares, I'll be getting paid to do it. Still no word on the house, dh is going to call them this afternoon. Need to go frocery shopping pretty bad, we'll see what the night holds.

Ann- Happy 13th Birthday to dd!!
Sista- Hope you have a great day!

JAK- are you on base now? I assume the new house is off-base and hope you get it! How long is your deployment in Germany? I thought it was 3 years?

I am in the home stretch for my job! I have all these healthy plans for myself once I am free, but we'll see once it is said and done. LOL

JAK - I hope you get the house!
Amy - I'm glad to hear it's coming to an end for you!

    Good morning all!

I'm babysitting a neighbor girl this morning. After I get her off to school for afternoon kindergarten I have errands to run and a meeting. Then back home to get her and dd off the bus. Her mom should be here after 5 sometime, she is starting a new job today. I hope all goes well for her.

    Have a great day!

JAK... Goop luck on your first day of work!
Amy... Bet you can't wait to be done!
angie... hope you get all your errands done.

So far no big plans. I've got to quick jump on the treadmill and get that over with before Sarah gets dropped off. I've got laundry to do, the house to clean. I think I'll actually have one day to myself this week and that's only because this isn't my week to go clean dh's aunts house. I'm REALLY looking forward to Wednesday because of that. LOL It's funny how fast you can get behind.

Talked with dd #3 this morning. She had her first shower on Saturday and it sounds like they got tons of nice stuff. Lots of kitchen things... including two crockpots on top of the one they already have. LOL They were very excited and happy with everything they got.

Another beautiful day today. Hoping to get out and enjoy it a little. Not much else. Hope you all have a great day!

    I can't believe my baby is 13!
well, that's not totally true, there has to be some explanation for her behavior!
going to her fav restaurant tonite with dad and his wife. it's a cheezy chinese buffet (not near as nice as yours Amy!) but she loves it. As you all know, dh and I really wrestled with the decision to go through with tonite. Got a call last night from the mom of the girl who was coming and spending the night tonite saying that she wasn't going to let her daughter come. that she felt by doing that it would be rewarding my daughter for bad behavior and she wasn't sure that my dd was the type of girl she wanted her daughter to be friends with.
i just said ok and hung up. nice to have my parenting skills questioned. but maybe this will help dd understand there are always repercussions to our actions.

    oh yeah..and it's raining and i am still sick..yep, it's a monday!

I'm flabbergasted. If my ds were close enough friends with someone enough to spend the night at their home, and this happened to there friend, I wouldn't not let my ds spend the night at their place. I wouldn't question how their parents were disciplining their own child and I certainly wouldn't punish my ds for something their friend did.

My mouth was hanging open reading what that woman said! I think it's an awfully unfair way to treat kids and over one incident. How judgmental. I feel the same as you Bev. Sorry you got such a call Ann.

So sorry that you're still not feeling well, Ann...

about your dd's friends mom. I can't BELIEVE anyone would have the nerve to say something that mean and judgemental. That was totally uncalled for. I don't think I could have kept my mouth shut. Kids aren't perfect... (as I well know) and some day she just may find herself in the same position you're in.

One thing though... maybe it will make your dd realize that when you do things like that people do take notice, and will unfortunately judge... and that by doing things like that, you get a bad reputation. Maybe just enough to make her think twice if the thought of doing something like this ever crosses her mind again... but it's SO hard having to watch our kids go through something like this, even if/when they have done wrong.

IMO... I think you've punished her enough, this mom can do whatever she wants with her dd... but she was just out of line with what she said. ((((HUGS))))

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU DD Ann.

WOW I am flabbergasted that the mother of the girl would call you and say that stuff to you. I truly believe that she made a bad call, RUDE and totally inappropriate inho.

Your an awesome mother....My kids aren't perfect so does that make me a bad mother? Does that make my parenting skill sucky? NO

Kids tell lies, and do things they aren't supposed to do....its called growing up and learning from your mistakes. This too shall pass!

No big plans today except having the kids finally clean the rec room. They were supposed to do it yesterday but they were having fun outside on such a nice sunny day. Didn't have the heart to crack the whip. lol Ds3 was acting funny with appetite the last few days, was clingy off and on then really clingy late yesterday afternoon/eve. Took his temp even though he didn't feel all that warm but had enough of a fever. It was 40. No wonder he was so clingy. I knew he wasn't feeling the best by the look on his face. So spent the night keeping his fever down. He is still not hungry (usually he is very hungry in the morning) but at least the fever is gone. Still chipper as usual though, he's playing with ds1. Ds2 is still sound asleep. Good thing it's March break here. Had a good chat with my dad this am and my brother who is there visiting for a week. They haven't seen each other in almost 6 years so this visit was really needed. Going to finish my book at some point today and do some laundry. Hope you all have a good day.
Ds1 had a new friend call and he and his dad just picked him up to go paintballing. Had to dig around for some old clothes for ds but it sounds like a lot of fun. I've heard it hurts, would not be me going. LOL
    Ann, happy birthday to dd!
