never thought of that in linda's case.... but if she's making rent and keeping up the property, i can't see him yanking the carpet out from under her, but who knows

not here, without a whole lot of penalty/pain in the a$$. a lease is a legal binding document
this is assuming that there is a lease term..like one year ect. once a lease goes month to month, you can terminate with notice

Is there any way you could put an addition on your current space... large enough to accommodate your growing needs? Just a thought...

    really? interesting.
our lease (which is yearly) states that the renter can give 30 days notice of moving out but we have to give them 60 days notice if we want them out.

i would call him tomorrow and make him an offer!!!
At the auction when we asked him about whether he was renting it, he said the back 2 lots which would be the house and the yard surrounding the house. The front 2 lots (the large yard) is what he wants to do something with. We would have some yard just not the space we want.

I have some pics of the house and yard but they're on my laptop. I'll maybe see if I can put them on here somehow.

I am concerned with how this guy would be as a landlord. I don't know how crazy he would be about any things we'd have to do for licensing--fire alarm system, fenced yard, etc.
Wouldn't it be nice if every time we messed up our life we could press CTRL ALT DEL and start all over??

We've considered that but really all that would do is take up our outdoor space. I don't think we could build on enough to run the kinds of numbers we'd need to make it cash flow.

Our ideal plan is to buy a lot and build a large building to house the whole thing including an indoor gross motor space (like a gym). Right now I either need to win the lottery or just save my pennies. It's gonna take a LOT of pennies!! LOL

Thanks for the suggestions! You guys are the GREATEST!!

make the guy a proposal. a bird in the hand as they say....
i would also offer in your proposal to cover the costs of some of the licensing stuff.
but make him a proposal, the worst thing that can happen is he turns it down.
