    Limewire

Okay, ya'll have me really curious about this.

How does it work? You download the program then go on/in and search for songs you want, then download them free??? It sounds too good and too easy. (but hey, I can adapt to good and easy)

Honest, it is that easy. Since I wasn't the one who added Limewire to our home computer I don't know how easy "that" was, but I am able to use Limewire without ds's help, lol...and that says something.

I had never heard of Limewire until this post. Then the other day we had to go to a briefing and they were saying how bad Limewire is because you are allowing access to your computer to just anyone when you use it. I just thought it was some sort of program- it didn't realize you were download from other people's personal computers. How exactly does that work?

I hadn't heard of it either, so I looked it up and the Wikipedia article about it links you to this:

it's a P2P program. You have to be very careful and if you use it, only keep it open when you are actually using it. Kazaa is another one and it's awful..lots of bad things going through.
