I've heard of a pound cake but not sure Iv'e actually tried one.
It would have been good to have food stuffs left at my doorstep I didn't do groc shop for a couple of weeks (besides veg) so that I wouldn't have to move it all ... mother hubbards cupboard was certainly bare.
We've had this house from new and not done much to it, it's just time to start doing those extra bits to make it last and look good, we can do this now as we made our last payment 3yrs ago and that is when we started saving for the kitchen, the old house payment money.
The kids are older now and we can get those finger marks off the walls with new paint, the eaves paint is going powdery (probably due to the cheap paint in the first place in and outdoors) .... you know the usual.

Well all my sick men in the house, in various states of sickness, are on the mend, geee men make sorry patients give me squalling babies any day LOL

... I guess I better go and sort something out for dinner. I visited my inlaws for arvo tea and they had choc, choc coated biscuits, yum!

hey Kathy, i know what you mean by men can't handle being sick..LOL..They are worse than whinny babies sometimes. Ha.

Sounds like your new remodeling is coming right along. Great that its finally getting to what you want. One of my uncles remodeled his house once and said he could rebuild a new house about as cheap.

As for a pound cake, they are good. As for a food pounding its done like a house hold shower. Not many people here do them anymore unless its maybe like someone thats been real sick or had their house burn or something like that. Are you changing the color of your kitchen curtains and walls and kitchen stuff like nick nacks

Oh yeah the kettle's out of the bathroom LOL
The kitchen is the only room we wanted changed structurally the rest is just paint and a bit of hard work, no point asking the kids then LOL

The other day ds1 was reversing out of the driveway (need the concrete driveway for under car work) reversed out and hit my BRAND car, my new car only 2 years old, he didn't see it, it was the only car in the street darn it!
$1800 worth of damage, sheesh! so guess who now has a debt to pay, ds1, no snow no nothing for an excuse except he didn't see it

oh me. Did you stripe his legs with a hickory switch, LOL? I know he had to have felt bad tho. My son did worse, he total loss my car back in sept. It wasn't new but he was stupid. I eventually swallowed it up and said at least he didn't get hurt. They make cars and parts but they don't make the same kid. I know how you felt. Believe me i do but i got thru it and you and your ds will to.

Darn where is that hickory tree!

Hubby said to ds1 didn't you see the big black car? He said no, he knew the car was there, didn't see it but kept reversing, D'OH, I think ds1 would rather us rant and rave than say nothing LOL
Yep just another expensive lesson for poor ol' Michael, he seems to be having a few of those lately! We all do dumb things hopefully like us he will grow out of them.

Had a big storm go through last night with some very close lightning and some of that lightning really lit up the sky, all calm now with a few branches down but the rain last night now the heat of the day make for a humid time to come.

i will send you a switch or too, LOL

I too sometimes would like to ring mines neck Kathy but then i get over it and think what if i had of. Then i wouldn't have anything from him to make me want to do it again..Hahaha.

Did you stick him in the corner and tell him to stand on his toes with his nose in a circle about 3 inches taller than he is? That will get him, LOL

He's handing over the $, and that hurts more than any switch can, I assure you LOL. It's the darn headlight that costs most of the repair price.

Nice sunny autumn day here cooled down so nicely, still waiting for the splashback and the final touches to the kitchen, we sold our big wall unit and now I can re organise the other bits that need doing.
