    Mother's Day plans?

What are you all going to do this weekend?

I actually sent out two Mother's day Cards this year....one to my Dad's wife and one to my Godmother....some years I just can't even go near the Hallmark...so this was good.

I asked DH for a quiet weekend here at home, bbq with the kids and just hang out.

My sister/BIL and we are taking my mom out to Green Mill for breakfast. We went in together on a nice gift for my mom... and will give it to her while were there. My sister/her dh will drive my mom back home and probably stay/visit with her for a while before going back home.

I have no clue if my dd's have anything planned for me. It's next to impossible to ever get them all together at the same time, so I'm assuming that if they do do something... it won't be done together. Honestly... I don't want a big fuss, and would be totally happy with a card in the mail or a "Happy Mothers Day" phone call. That way dh/I can just go out on our bikes and bumb around for the rest of the day. I'm hoping they don't spend any $$ on me... as I don't really need anything, and they I know that none of them can really afford it...

Ds has to work Sunday. He has two part-time jobs this summer...his regular Canadian Tire job that he's had for over a year, and this summer he's working for my employer, doing bed-making for hostel/conference accommodations. He'll be home for dinner, and so long as it's nice, we'll bbq. I did tell him if he wants to buy me anything, I'd like a stainless-steel water bottle. Money's been tight for him lately...he rented a tux/suit for his prom that cost him $192. Then he owed me $80 for a concert ticket I purchased on my credit card. He's also been nickel and diming himself no matter how much I tell him it all adds up .

No plans that I'm aware of. I'm hoping to get ds4 his bike helmet and fix the tire on ds1's bike this week so maybe a good bike ride. I'm sure dh will go to the store with ds3 and pick out some flowers at the grocery store last minute which is usually the way.

that's why we ended up buying ds a tux at Sims (do you have those?) we got a nice one for $170. he's already worn it twice so it's essentially paid for if you look at what the cost of two rentals would have been

Don't have a Sims, but I'm sure we have something similar. However, ds and his friends went out and did this on their own, the week we were in the DR, so I had no control over what he did. I would totally have preferred he buy something.

We're having our moms over here for dinner after church, and invited a friend who is like a grandmother to us. (I'm making everything on Saturday, so technically, I don't have to do anything on mother's day, lol)
Today is a new day and a good day to start anew.

I'm sure we'll go out to eat with my inlaws. I'll have to celebrate with my mom/stepmom on another day.
