    Sunday

It's been a busy day so far. Ran errands this morning and have done a few things around the house. I'd like to take a nap, but I have some homework to do. Another paper to write, but I'm almost done with my class! Just the final to go after this paper. I started another class recently so I'm juggling 2 right now, but it's not too bad. It's the kids last week of school this week and dd is bummed because several of her friends are leaving. I'm bummed because she'll be going to high school in a few months!

    Morning!

We had tons of rain yesterday afternoon (5 inches!!), and supposed to get more today. Yuck!

I got my report cards done yesterday , so today I am dedicating to cleaning up this house. Church first, though.

We took the boys to Steve & Barry's yesterday. Gosh, they love that store! LOL The nearest one to our house is about 45 minutes away! We also did some Old Navy shopping. Ds1 (14) sure is definitely an interest in clothes. LOL He talked me into buying him a pair of those trendy plaid shorts. He's wanted some since they came out this spring, so he was thrilled to get some. (Old Navy prices are so reasonable!) Ds2 wouldn't be caught dead wearing plaid shorts.... , at least that's what he says.

Morning everyone! I am debating on skipping church this morning. My back is killing me, and I just can't seem to get moving. I woke up late too, so I would have to struggle to get ds and myself dressed in time. I guess that means, we will wait. Anyways,I have to work tonight, so that is pretty much our plans for the day. Have a great day everyone!

Edited to add: We definitely aren't going to church. Ds just threw up all over the floor, so I think that pretty much answers any questions I had.

Mary, ds loves plaid shorts and has several. his senior casual photo was him in the plaid shorts and striped shirt and flip flops! it sounds terrible, but it really was cute! LOL

So very hot again today...I'm loving this weather . Ds just left for work. I'm going to accompany dh to his ball game this aft. as I haven't been to one all year.

Mary, dh and I went to Old Navy yesterday and I bought 3 t-shirts...and a pair of men's plaid shorts for myself
Ann, that pic you described of your ds sounds cute

Fixed breakfast for this houseful of guys (dh's dd never showed up). Waiting for dh to finish eating so we can go work out. It was funny last night. We sent the boys to the store for breakfast food. Gave them some ideas, but told them just to get what sounded good. They were so proud...amoung their purchases they had bought 3 packages of bacon!! They even knew the exact number of strips!

Can I go back to bed? Dh took the kids on a hike yesterday afternoon and split one of his tires. Realized there was zero tread left and he now has four new tires. The brakes on the van have been making scary noises for months on end so dh took them apart and made sure everything was okay before we went on vacation at the first of April. Well, last night we took his tires in the back of the van to get new ones put on the rims and on the way home my brakes were making such horrible noises dh had to use the emergency brake instead. He takes the brakes apart again (2nd time in 2 months) and the brake pads are completely gone. *sigh* He's not sure if they're under warranty or not.

We finally got to bed last night and dd1 wakes us up at 1:30 with classic signs (for her) of being dehydrated again! Neither dh or I slept a lot last night, but she is feeling better. Ds2 spent the night at Mom's and she called an hour ago, saying he's sick.

I'm kinda wanting to hide my head! Dd1 invited friends to church, so she's driving her car, we're taking dh's car down to get the brake shoes and then I'm driving him home before going back to church so I can bring the rest of the kids home while dd1 goes shoe shopping. Btw, she needs new shoes because she split her tennis shoe on the hike. The bad part about that is that you need at least 20 miles on a new pair of shoes before you can wear them to hike the Canyon.

Sooo... that's my weekend so far!

Leigh, I hope your ds feels better quickly! Hopefully it was just a fluke and won't happen again!

Edited to change "breaks" to "brakes" and say that the pads were still under warranty!

We woke up pretty early, went out to eat breakfast then stopped at Menards to pick up the rest of the screws we need for the pool and also something to put in the pots that sit on either end of the pool steps. We thought they were on sale... but when we got into checkout, found out they weren't. We ended up spending more than we wanted to, but I guess if you want something bad enough you have to pay the price. They do look good though...

Not sure what were going to do for the rest of our day... I might sit/relax and get back into my book, which I'm not really into yet. It looks like the sun if finally coming out... so hopefully were done with the rain for a while.

Hope you're all having a great day...

Brichard couldn't get home last night because all the roads between where my mom lives and we live are under water and closed. I was going to drive down this morning, but they are still closed. I just hope the water recedes so he can get home tonight. This is the worst flooding we've had since 1913, with more rain in the forecast starting tomorrow, it may top all records.

So, here we are, cleaning house instead of laying by the pool...

We actually had a good day... we went to the park and had a picnic, and then we went to in-laws and swam in the pool. Now I am about to go to work.
