    Teacher gifts

I have an idea for end of the year gifts for dd's teachers, and I'd appreciate your opinion.

Target has beach chairs for 10.99 and I thought I'd get a chair and if I could find the iron-on embriodered letters, I'd put their initials on them since having them professionally done, would add at least $10 more to the cost.

Whadda think? I think it's reasonable and at least "useable".

I should add, they are the low to the ground chairs and canvas.

Are they the "low to the ground" chair types?? LOL I mean...those kinds of chairs are nice for the beach, but if I'm sitting at my kid's baseball game, etc....I'd rather have a regular standard height beach chair. Of course...there aren't many beaches here for me to go to! LOL

I'd love a pitcher filled with lemonade mixes, and maybe some of those cute plastic ice cubes, etc. How about a beach towel, and a gift card to a local bookstore (relax and read a good book).

Well, we're just an hour and a half from the beach here. LOL : )
And yes, they are the low to the ground chairs. Most of the parents here who bring their own chairs to games do the camp chairs, much less bulky than a folding beach chair.

I like the beach towel and book idea but I'd almost be doubling my money; $10 for the towel and I'd have to do at least a $10 gift card.

Thanks for the pitcher/lemonade idea! Target also has the old fashioned lemonade jars with a spigot that I thought about getting and painting, but I'm running out of time to do that.

I always have such a hard time getting out of those low to the ground chairs... but I must admit, they're better than sitting on the ground. Our family dollar store had the regular umbrella type chairs with the arms/cup holders for $8.99... I thought that was a great deal and bought 2 more of them. I can't believe how much we've been using them...

How thoughtful of you to buy them a gift... I'm sure they'll appreciate anything you give them.

I was thinking are the "teachers" the kind of people who would like that type of chair. LOL Sometimes those chairs are hard to get in and out of...KWIM??

I do love the idea...I guess (because of the lack of "beaches" here) I wouldn't use that type of chair. In your situation, it's probably very practical! Fun idea. You are sweet for giving the teachers a gift, and I can tell you from experience...we do appreciate it!
