    Teen boys...shaving

I'm noticing that ds1 (14) has quite a little "mustache" going on! He's got dark hair, so it's going to become noticible soon. When did your teen son start to shave??

Ds1 (13yo) has hair, but since he's blonde it probably won't be any time soon! I mentioned it to him and he got the cutest grin on his face, lol! Half sheepish, half smug, lol!

If I'm remembering right, my middle nephew started shaving at thirteen (dark headed) while my youngest nephew (blonde) didn't start shaving until he was about fifteen or so.
Today is a new day and a good day to start anew.

he now sporting a beard cause as he said after he finished high school 'i never have to shave again!'

He lifts his arm the other day (phew!) and says, "LOOK! Do you see it?? Do you see my arm pit hair??" LOL Uh...sure honey, I see that one little bugger! LOL Too funny!

Thanks for your input. His leg hair (not much yet) is very light...and his arm pit hair (the one!) is dark. (Don't know what's going on down under the shorts...don't want to ask! LOL). The mustache hair is definitely dark, and I can tell it's kind of making him uncomfortable. Thanks for the wisdom of your experience, ladies.

Our neighbor's ds is 13 and just started to shave. He too was feeling uncomfortable about it so his mother figured it was time. He's been walking around feeling pretty grown up..... he even asked me if I noticed anything different about him. I thought it was kinda cute...

I was looking at pics dd took at the pool party last week and asked dh "how come these boys don't have any facial or pit hair starting?". His answer was that girls mature faster than boys. I just thought that applied to "maturity", "behavior".

Dd started shaving her legs last summer (11 yrs old) and she started shaving her armpits the year before. I only let her do her legs when she, like your son, seemed uncomfortable with it.

i think physically it's just like girls, some boys i know looked like grown men at 11 and others not till they were 15!
