    Prayer request please

It has been an off day to say the least. My energy level is low, I am still unsettled about not being able to contact dd and this afternoon got a call from MIL. She got results back from her neurologist and both her arteries in her neck are totally blocked. She could have a stroke at any minute. She is totally scared and is on an emergency waiting list with a specialist to have surgery. Dh says he is "fine", but he is off too. The house energy is bizarre and a bit unnerving. Please say a quick prayer for MIL and a good outcome.

    Prayers for your MIL!
.....and dd is FINE! She needs a break from you. Write her a note, tell her you miss her, and stick it under her pillow to find when she gets home!

Prayer's to your MIL... My mom has had the surgery to clean out her carotid arteries and everything turned out just fine. She was doing so well so quick that they even gave her an early release.

I agree... your dd is just fine. Try not to worry about her.

{{{{Amy}}}}} I'll be praying for your mil, that she'll get in asap w/the specialist. Ita that your dd is probably having a blast, but I know it's difficult not having her nearby, or at least able to contact.
Today is a new day and a good day to start anew.

My dd has gone away to camps too w/o knowing a single person. I would have never done that as a kid! I know that makes it harder too in letting her go, but I'm sure she's having a blast!

Prayers said for your mil. Very scary situation. I hope they are able to get her into surgery asap!

Thank you all! I am better today. I know dd is having a ball at this point and don't mind not contacting her because of that. But, yesterday with everything feeling off, wanted my children close by. The world can fall apart around me as long as I have my kids near.

MIL is more calm today. She goes in for briefing about the surgery at 4pm. She can't find any information on the surgery, so she didn't realize it was a common procedure. Of course she isn't supposed to smoke, so when dh called her this morning, she had a cigarette in her hand. You would think she would be smarter at this point.

I'm glad you're feeing better this morning, Amy... (((HUGS)))

When I was in High School I had a history teacher who had emphysema... he walked around with an oxygen machine... and still continued to smoke. I guess some people just don't get it...

And I was having the same feelings about ds earlier this week. Couldn't tell you why because I wasn't worried the first time he went to camp this summer. Does her camp have pics posted online each day? Both of ds's camps (one YMCA and one church) did (do). They do it to sell pictures, but it's a good way to see what they're doing.
