Materials needed:
Old holiday cards
glitter
glue
hole punch
string
Directions:
Select holiday card recieved that has a picture you want to keep. Cut it out to whichever shape and size you prefer. Punch a hole in the top center of the picture. Put a small stream of glue around the edge of the picture and cover with glitter to coat and allow to dry. Thread string through hole and on the back personalize the ornament to list the year of the card/ornament made, child's name, who child spent the holidays with and where.
I started doing this last year because I didn't always like the hallmark children's ornament of the year. This way we and the child can choose what we want to display in years to come. It also lets us personalize our ornament for nostalgia purposes.
