That is so odd that your boss just let you go immediately. Isn't this the one you got along with so well back when you were in the trailer? Maybe finances are so bad for them that they aren't making it easy for people to stay? Anyways, welcome back!

Dh and I got a glimpse of what our life would be like without the kids. The kids stayed overnight at MIL and I did all my food shopping while dh drove them there. We had a relaxing afternoon, followed by a long walk with the dogs, went to the mall to just stroll around and then made a fantastic dinner together. We ended with snuggling and watching Return of the King. Now I feel borderline yucky again. I swear, the viruses going around our area are plentiful and mean! LOL

He SHOULD have begged, or at least tried to talk you out of it. I hope this turns out to be the good thing that you deserve.
Amy, sounds like a nice day.

I have enjoyed this break. I got a little shopping done, and got to spend some time with my chicks. I also did no laundry and accomplished none of the planned re-organizing. Oh well, there's always next weekend. LOL
Hope you all have a good Sunday.

a little groveling would have been nice! LOL

amy, i am not really surprised. it being the end of the month and with his payroll issues. i was the highest paid person in the department so he would almost re-hire two more people for the price of me!

((((((((Ann)))))))) I agree with the others, it's always nice to know you are "wanted".

Amy, that sounds like a GREAT night!

Cathy, I am adopting your same attitude... there's always next weekend. LOL It seems there just isn't enough time to get my stuff done and I am in such a hurry to get it finished so I can enjoy the whole Christmas season this year. But, we'll just see what happens.

Dh and dd are at church. I swear I don't know how I used to work retail full time, I worked just about full days the last two days and I want to cut my feet off at the ankles!

I have laundry to finish, cleaning to do (dd was to dust the entire house yesterday, so I'll have to see what she got to and what she missed).
Moving den furniture today to prepare for the carpet cleaners tomorrow. I hope they are wonderful and beautiful when they are done. lol

ann - so what's your next step? Did you decide to not work for a while? How was ds's visit? Is heheading back to school today?
amy - what a nice time for you and dh! I hope you get over this bug quick. When do the kiddo's come back?
    cathy - great attitude!
sista - poor dd! ya'll have such a busy schedule it always makes me tired!

We have a day today with nothing on the agenda! Whee! After the checklist I had yesterday it's a good thing! We had some snow this morning when I woke up. Not much and it's really wet and melting fast. We should get another line of snow coming through later today, but only 2 inches at the absolute most by morning. It's so pretty. There are some neighbor kids out playing and have a sled, lol.

It's 10am and everyone is still asleep! Even Sophie, who is laying on my shoulder, lol.

    Have a great day everyone!

I'm ready for another 4 day weekend 'cuz tomorrow starts play practice and play previews at Barnes and Noble next Saturday. I also told her she and some friends could go see Santa, get pictures made and walk around the mall... wonder when that will happen? LOL

Ann, I didn't realize you made that much. I thought this was just barely a step above Starbucks. If boss was concerned with the bottom line, then I guess it makes sense that he didn't try to stop you. It is too bad though, because you were one of the few that were there in the beginning with him. Now you can clean to your hearts content.

Angie-I can't believe your family can sleep in that long! Dd can last the longest at about 9am, but the rest of us are up by 7:30am most mornings.

Cathy-how nice to take it easy! Dh and I were just talking about you last night! I think we were talking about taking a whitewater rafting trip this Spring and I told him you live up in that area now. His first reaction was "was she the one who gave you a load of crap because you were picking on someone who made tatertot casserole? And she was replied back that any meal you didn't cook is good enough for you" LOL Now he wants to meet you up there sometime for lunch.

Sista-Hope you can get some rest and relaxtion in today. When we were at Disney, my feet felt like they were going to fall off at the end of the day. Nothing like a few motrin before bed!

Oh Disney..... dh wants to plan a trip and it completely boggles my little brain. He has 2 weeks vacation he is cashing in at the end of the year, so that is one full paycheck plus the government's stimulus check (most of it is still in the bank), so we can pay cash and go but I can't get my head around planning it.
I may sick the guidance counselor at school on it. LOL She is a planner planner planner and she and her dh go everywhere!

But anyway, walking there doesn't bother me as much, guess it's b/c you walk, sit, stand, sit... at work it stand stand stand. Ouch, I hurt thinking about it.

Up early this morning, though I did pass out early last night DS is sick, fever, achy, head is stuffy = Miserable boy

oh a good note I got all the laundry done, cleaned the garage so I could get to the Christmas Decor....got three bags ready for goodwill, we got all the decor out for Christmas, everything up and beautiful except the tree needs trimming still, I was just too darn tired...oh and I made chili in the morning that was just fabulous...cleaned the kitchen like 3 times and we had really nice day.

Plan on trimming the tree and just relaxing with the family....

Ann - Yeah your free from the working world. I know it would have been nice to have them asked to you to stay. I am sure it wasn't personal, like you stated, it was probably $ motivated.

Amy - sounds like a lovely day

    Cathy - Love your attitude.

Sista- I want a four day weekend Hope your weekend ends on a happy note.

Angie - Sounds like a great day to just hang out and do whatever. How is your new puppy?

    !
or the others are underpaid! LOL
it makes me sad that i was there from the beginning, but i think that may have added to my hurt feelings. i assumed i was more of an 'insider' than i turned out to be.

angie, i am going to take the holidays off and then decide what i want to do.

I remember meeting him. Lunch would be good...if I didn't have to cook of course! LOL The rafting and kayaking is pretty popular up here.
