    Kids Christmas gifts...

So, let's share ideas. What are your kids asking for this Christmas? I always get good ideas for extra gifts when I hear some of your kids "wish lists".

Of course my dks are hoping for the Ping Pong Table (unlikely). Ds2 wants (and needs) a new DS Lite (his is broken). Ds1 wants an Ipod Touch.

Ds2 is asking for some Wii games, and ds1 wants some "cool" clothes and shoes.

So what is on your kids' lists?

6 yo dd - cupcake decorating thing, you've probably seen the commercial for it 100 times, lol. She wants a big kid scooter. She wants an easy bake oven but I'm not getting one. I'd rather she just use the real oven. I bought another cheap MP3 player for her because she uses the one we got her 2 years ago like mad and it doesn't hold enough songs. However, my mil/fil went out and got a real ipod for her so I need to come up with something else.

10 yo dd - I bought Wii music for her and a couple of games for her ds. I bought Wii Fit for all the kids from Santa, then dd asked for it from my inlaws and so I "sold" them mine to give her. They also bought the re-charging thing for it. Anything else I need for it from you guys that already have one???

Ds wanted miscellaneous things... a drum set for guitar hero, which I found out they don't sell separately from world tour yet. Guitar Hero Aerosmith and some other game, both of which my inlaws already bought. He wants batteries for a hand me down electric scooter we were given last summer. I honestly don't know what to get him.
It seems weird to have him open 2 batteries for a scooter he can't use until spring, lol.

I'm having a tough time this year!! Help!

So I'm not the only one having trouble! Phew! I guess it's because they're getting older, and you can't go with just "toys". LOL Their "toys" are all electronic and MUCH more expensive.

    LOL
Since I'm hooked up in the kitchen and that's where dd's list appeared, let me share.

    *** Hollister perfume
    * Bath & Body stuff
*** jacket from Hollister or Aeropostale
    ** iPod touch (?possibly?) <yeah honey, that's a NO>
    *** skinny jeans
Fashion Designer NY for my DS
    cute clothes or shoes
** jewelry - rings or big bangles and big necklaces
    ***** surprises!!
Just surprise me. The things I relly want have the stars, but I love surprises!!

LOL! I bought some skinny jeans and have a pair of earrings. I'd thought I could fill the stocking with jewelry and tights and stuff... I dunno
I got the DS game and found two steering wheels for the Wii. Dh and I also want to get her a pair of Chuck Taylors but can't decide on the color. She'd fall over dead with surprise.
I'll either do the Bath & Body scent or the Hollister. I've never walked into Hollister, so I'm not keen on making a special trip now.

So, I know how ya'l feel. She just wants clothes and jewls so that's not so exciting.

Yep...so your dd doesn't want you to buy "ugly" clothes or shoes, and my ds1 doesn't want us to buy him "uncool" clothes. LOL (As if we would...geez!! Kids!)

I'll try to get a copy of ds2's actual list (which is combined with ds1's, I guess). The lists are comical!

The only reason we are entertaining the thought of the Ipod touch, is because I actually want an ipod to use with my school music. We would be upgrading ds1 to the touch, and I would get his old ipod.

Ds1 also has a birthday the week before Christmas...and we are getting him a basketball warm-up jacket and Wii music.

Dd has shown interest in the Wii music... I wonder if that would be fun for her girlfriends who don't necessarily like video games....

Dh wants the Tiger Woods golf and NCAA football. There's a 100 bucks right there!

FYI...You can custom make Chuck Taylors on the converse site http://www.converse.com/# . At the bottom of the window click "Converse one". I had to make a custom pair of bright yellow high tops for dd's play. It's pretty neat to be able to pick any color or color combination you want.

Ds1 and ds2 both want rock band and I got it already for them. They want games for the wii such as wii music, the Aerosmith one and a few others. They will end up with a couple. Ds2 has a huge list including a robot that is nearly 300 dollars, um....no! lol Ds1 hasn't asked for much yet. They are both getting their own little fish aquarium. I think I have a few ideas written down but forget some, I know there are some crosses I am looking at in Sears and they come with chains. Oh and a bed rest for reading and watching tv in bed.
Ds3, he wants wii games but the wii isn't his, ds1 and ds2 bought it together even though ds3 uses it. His ds lite is broken so I'll get him a new one with a new game or two. I think the great big transformer optimus prime is so cool, he goes from truck to him on his own and talks in both modes. I want it! So he's getting it, yes he did ask for it. lol He is getting a fish tank too. I saw a movie motion projecter in the Zellers flyer, not sure if its good but want to go there and look and see if it's worth buying. Hot wheels he wants, not sure yet, he really wants the zero gravity car, looks very cool.
Ds4, let's see, I already got him most everything but stocking stuffers. Elmo live, radio flyer inch worm ride on thing, two fisher price little people play sets, see and say with a boy farmer doll that sings. I was going to get him the 50's style dinner kitchen but now I'm rethinking it. Dh thinks it is too big (kinda is) and he wont' play with it enough (so wrong) so I don't know. It's expensive and was hoping to have enough visa points and I'm just under. He would play with it a lot though and the other kids would have a blast entertaining him with it so chances are, if I can get a good price he'll end up with it. Most of his stuff I got with visa points or buy one get one free so haven't had to spend much on him, nice!

Dd has no idea what she wants. The only thing she has asked for is some kind of album to keep the post cards she collects. lol So I guess I'm on my own for getting her gifts. So far I've gotten her a couple of Wii games, a Twilight hoodie, Twilight Companion: The Unauthorized Guide to the Series, and a couple of DVDs. She needs some winter shoes and/or boots but I need to take her shopping for those because she's extremely picky with her shoes.

Ds is easy. He loves animals, so I got him some animal play sets, lots of schleich african animals to finish out the set we started, and a few board games.

Ava was easy too. We got her some musical toys, a couple of Neurosmith block toys, and a couple of Little Einstein DVDs (she absolutely loves them!).

Ds keeps saying that the ONLY thing he wants is an XBox 360 Elite ($400). I'm having his Wii repaired (the disc driver thingy stopped working so discs don't work in it), but I just don't want him to have another game console. He needs a new dirt bike (totally has outgrown the first one he's had for four years) so we are thinking that since he needs one and we'd likely have to get one at some point in the not-too-distant future, that maybe we should just do it for Christmas. We'd get it second hand for sure since he'll grow into a bigger one still, but that's what we are thinking.

Dd is getting Elmo Live from my mom and I'm getting her a stroller to push her baby dolls in (she's in that stage where she wants to push the stroller instead of be IN it!). I'll get her some other toys, too. Not too much, though--I do remember a very anti-climactic Christmas when ds was 2 and he opened two gifts and was done. He just wanted to play with those and we had to persuade him finish opening the others!

The only problem I'm thinking there may be is when dd is older and watches the video of how ds got a DIRT BIKE and she got a toy stroller! LOL!

Ds is getting a John Deere Gator (motorized), some trucks, puzzles, books, basketball hoop thing, and t-ball set. I am pretty much done with him except for stocking stuffers.
