Well I just realized that I've been chatting with you ladies and you don't really know anything about me. So I thought I would go ahead and add my intro here
I'm 41, mother of 4 (three boys 16, 11, 10 and one girl 15) and live in southeastern Wisconsin. I was born in England but grew up here in the states, been here since I was 2. I grew up in Illinois but moved to Wisconsin when I was 20, cheaper to live here and commuted to Illinois to work.
When my first two kids were still really little, we moved to Vegas. Lived there for a while, came back, went back, came back, went back. LOL We came back for good a year and a half ago.
I used to work in Finance, when my third child was 9 months old I quit my job to stay home with the kids. It didn't take long before I became bored with graham crackers and diapers, so I got a computer and started browsing the internet. That was in 1997. Within a month or so I started building a website which, over the years, blossomed into familycorner.com.
I now work for a few different companies:
Moab Group - the company that bought The Idea Box. I am the chief editor for all of their sites and do the design work, manage new and existing content and create newsletters and blogs.
Internet Brands - I do some misc work for them, but also create about 5 different newsletters for several of their sites.
Kaboose.com - I have been the Kid's Crafts Expert at Kaboose for over 3 years now. Chances are if you found a craft that has a photo on Kaboose, I probably made it. You will see my name on anything I have done.
I've always been crafty, used to own my own craft store in Richmond, IL, but alas, the town was dead and we ended up closing. I still miss that place, it was so cool! It's a restaurant now :-P
On a more personal note, I love crafting, tole painting, RVing (we have a 5th wheel), riing four wheelers and my pets. I have a German Shepherd and 4 cats. Nope, not quite the "crazy cat lady" yet. LOL
Well that's enough about me. Thanks for being so welcoming, this is truly a great community and I am happy to be a part of it
Oh yeah, I love to cook and bake too. I have a food blog, craft blog, and a personal blog.
