Have the day off and slept until 7 when dd woke me up to say they were leaving. I was up at 5, 530 and at 6 as well, but was able to get back to sleep. I have a busy day planned and even set the timer before I got on the computer so I wouldn't get side tracked. LOL

Diane- I'm glad to hear Dawn is back at home. I hope this baby decides to stay where he belongs quite a bit longer!

Rhonda- it's so great to see you posting again!!

    Beth- congrats to your dd!!

Well... I'm awake. Not quite sure why. All I know is 2:30 is not my ideal wake-up time! I'll probably bum around on the computer, clean up a bit and try to head back to bed.

Dh has a dr appt this afternoon, dd1 babysits tonight. Not much else going on. Oh. I need to run by the store. It seems like I am forever forgetting things at the store... even if they're on my list. So far, I've got three things on my list that should have been in my cart yesterday. Too bad no one offers a frequent shopper discount!

Hope you all have a great day.

Jak, I need to do the timer thing too! I get sooo much more accomplished that way.

I'm not too sure what I'm going to do today. I'd normally go into the office, but I hate to go too far away for fear that Dawn is going to go into labor again. That and... I just don't feel right trying to leave her with Sarah, who can be pretty needy/high maintenance... which can be kinda hard to deal with when you're on bedrest. I see a lot of sales at the grocery store and thought maybe I'd swing through there and maybe pick them up a few quick meal type things, seeing she can't get up to cook anything elaborate. That and, with her not working... they don't have that income coming in either.

More time with my treadmill today, my kitchen/hallway floor need to be , the carpets need to be and I have a few loads of that needs to get done. Not until I've made/had my first cup of and done the (I just love these new smilies... LOL )

Picking my mom up as soon as dh (and I if I go) come home from work, then to Wal*Mart. Hoping the day goes by quickly... I'm so glad it's Friday!

Hope you all have a good one....

Waiting for the older boys to get ready for school. Need to run upstairs and make their lunches soon. It's still very cold here -29, not sure what the wind chill is. I don't have to be anywhere again today outside of taking and picking up ds3. Have a good day all

Good morning. It is below zero here too, but not at bad as the mid-westeners. Our worst will be -20 with windchill.

Going out to eat tonight. It is dd's turn to pick and since she became a complete vegetarian in the last week, I'm sure she will come up with something interesting. She has her eye on this middle-eastern restaurant.

My ds wanted to become a vegetarian (completely out of the blue) and he had no reason behind it. It lasted all of one meal. LOL He made himself a burrito with vegetarian beans and that's all it took. Obviously he didn't put much thought into what he wouldn't be eating if he truly was a vegetarian.

Up late last night and early this morning. That will make for a long day. I have an awards assembly this am followed by a conference about why little suzy is getting awards that will eat up my break for the day. Taking the kids to their dad's after school and then out to eat somewhere nice in the "big city". Still freezing my patootie off with single digit lows last night. I think it is supposed to get above freezing today so maybe the kids can go outside. We shall see. Cabin fever is definitely setting in for them. It doesn't take long.

Edited to say "isn't get an award". Then the parent called to reschedule for next week.

yeah, when dd found it meant eating more veggies than she does, it kind of killed that idea! LOL
she has tried several times. i do think the 'where meat comes from' bothers her, but in the end the taste wins out.

Amy, my dd tried being a vegetarian until she realized that it didn't mean just eating pasta and mac n' cheese.

was doing an old tae bo exercise yesterday, was 25 minutes into it, did a back kick and heard snap and down i went. i think i pulled a hamstring. so i crawled, hopped into bed with an ice bag and spent the rest of the day there. am walking very gingerly today

isn't it amazing about the plane in the hudson yesterday? i was in bed watching tv when it happened. WOW what a miracle and what a great pilot.

    .
She is still a great eater and even looked up recipes and made dinner for herself. She made thai peanut noodles and sweet potato burrito.

Wow... that was AMAZING! I've been watching all these interviews, and all I can say is that the Pilot of that plane is a true hero. On top of landing it the way he did, he made sure each and every one on board was safe/out of that plane before he left. What a story!

ouch! Is it better today? hope so!

I don't get the thing with the birds. It apparently happens more often than people realize. Why don't they put an enormous cage over the engines that birds can't fit into? Would it hinder the craft that much to have a big net sticking out? You would think with all the engineers, someone would come up with a solution. I was glad to hear everyone was safe, very good pilot!

I'm totally slacking and need a kick in the butt for motivation. I did go out to lunch with dh and ran some errands. Came home and put clothes in the dryer and talked to my friend in the states on the phone for about an hour. I need to clean, get more laundry going and make some cookies, oh and do dishes too. Did I mention I have homework too. Guess I'd better get my butt in gear.
