Chocolate Chess Pie...Not sure if this is what you are looking for Tami...
1 (9 inch) pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie
1 1/2 cups white sugar
3 1/2 tablespoons cocoa
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 (5 ounce) can evaporated milk
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup chopped pecans
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C)
- Mix together sugar, cocoa, and melted butter. Stir in evaporated milk, beaten eggs, vanilla, and chopped pecans.
- Pour nut mixture into unbaked pie shell. Bake for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and bake for 30 minutes.

Chocolate Chess Pie...Here is another one...
1 unbaked pie shell*
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 stick butter
1½ squares unsweetened chocolate
Whipped cream (optional)
1. Beat eggs,sugar and add vanilla.
2 Melt butter and chocolate;add to mixture.Mix well.
3. Pour in unbaked shell.
4.Bake 35 minutes. Top with whipped cream.

Thanks, Ladies! Now to pick one and make it! We've had it out at restaurants here in NC but I've never found a recipe for one that looks like what we've eaten.

It looks a little gooey-er in the middle but it's chocolate so it can't be bad!

I made it last night. It was delicious! It's already gone. lol! I'm going to blog about it later tonight when I get a chance to set down here for a while.

I think that chess pie is different from choc. chess pie. I don't think that it has chocolate in it.
