    Classmate finders?

Has anyone gone through classmates.com or similar sites to contact old friends from high school? Just wondering if it was actually worth the fee. (Can you tell I'm a skinflint, LOL?) I'm trying to decide if there's anyone in the list from my hs that I actually WANT to contact!

I used to visit highschoolalumni.com and then they started charging a fee. It was fun to get caught up on what classmates were doing, but after a while it seemed like no one new was signing up, so it didn't seem like it would be worth it to pay when they started charging.

I'll go there every once in a while... I have a lot of fun reading/posting on the boards and keeping up with the past a little bit. Some of the names are only familiar to me but I have run into several old friends also. I haven't paid any fee's but have exchanged e-mails with many on the board and we have written back and forth to each other every now and again. I think you get more (???) if you pay there yearly fee... I'm not really too sure what exactly... but you can actually get a lot without paying anything... you might want to try going that route first?

My old high school has it's own website and they have included alumni on it as well. If you came from a decent size school you may want to check your school's site.

I recently signed up with Grad finder. There wasn't a fee and you could even add your grade school to their list of schools. There are a couple of classmates that have compiled lists of all our classmates and try to keep us all in touch. I wasn't real close to anyone from my class so I'm not too interested in keeping in touch with very many.
Wouldn't it be nice if every time we messed up our life we could press CTRL ALT DEL and start all over??

Classmates. The additional fee I think is only if you want the "extra" priviledges. I've never paid a penny for just going in there to read/post.

I registered there yesterday. I can read info, but can't post anything. I found a friend I lost touch with who moved in 9th grade. It wouldn't let me access her info because I wasn't a paying member, but I did find her on a people search! I can't wait to write to her!!
