    Craft help please

DD's curtain rod is swagged with a white scarf and silk panies on a vine. I am going to get some more of the pansies and cut them off the vine and glue them in various spots on her wall sort of borderish like. Would I used my hot glue gun or is there something better to use?

My mil did something similar in her kitchen and used rubber cement. I think that was because of the added moisture in that room though. She definitely didn't want the buggers coming off! I would think that hot glue would work just fine.
Today is a new day and a good day to start anew.

Try using the low temp glue sticks that can go in your glue gun, the temp is still warm enough to adhere properly, but will be less likely to peel the paint off the wall if you choose to remove them.
We often used this to display the childrens art work on the walls of my old pre-school. Worked great.

hmmm...rubber cement might be easier..was wondering how I was going to keep the glue gun hot while I was up on the ladder..long extension cord I guess. Seems like the rubber cement might be easier to get off too.

I hope to do something similar in my front room but with miniture lights threaded through the flowers and vines instead of a scarf.

Are you talking about having the flowers flat for the boarder? Or dimensional? I'm guessing still dimensional. I'd think the hot glue would *dry* faster. With rubber cement you may need to devise a system for holding the flower in place while it's drying. Maybe tape? Or buy a border and glue the flowers on then put up the border. Again that maybe heavy and want to fall without support while the border glue dries.

Depending how many you are putting up and how heavy they are, you could maybe use double stick tape. Or that poster putty (the blue clay looking stuff). Or Aleene's Tack-It over and over (have to verify that name, NOT tacky glue). It's a glue that you apply to one surface and it dries tacky. Sort of like the glue they use to attach perfume things in magazines. You can remove and replace them. Might be nice for cleaning reasons.

I vote for the hot glue gun.....extension cords are easy to rig up...
