    home made soup recipes

Any good soup recipes out there? Especially ones for the crock pot? Seems like it should be easy to do, but I rarely ever make soups. After the veggie soup Ann and Renee posted about, soup sounds good!

I have a couple crockpot recipes that I think are good.

One is a bean, chicken, peppers type soup called white chili and the other is called zesty vege beef with cabbage and lots of other veges with ground beef and v-8. If either sound good let me know and I will post or try to go and find the recipe on-line.

This isn't a crock pot recipe, but it's super simple... albeit
    fat-laden!!!! Oh well, it's delicious!

    Potato Cheese Soup

    3-4 medium potatoes
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 can chicken broth
    4 oz. Velveeta cheese
    milk

Dice potatoes and cook until tender, drain. Mix soups and Velveeta over low heat, stirring until combined. Add potatoes and a small amount of milk to thin soup, if desired. Serve with bacon sprinkled on top! Yum!!!

Other than chilli soup the only other soup I've ever made (that didn't come out of a can!) is Egg Drop Soup

You beat up some eggs and mix with flour and a little salt. Then you add that to boiling water that has a boillion cube dissolved in it. You can also pressure cook some meat to mix in with it. We had this all the time when I was a kid, but for some reason I just can't eat eggs anymore so I never have it. Dh and the kids don't like it.

I love soups...don't have a crock pot though...are they really good?

My favourite ones to make are minestrone , sweet potato with red peppers, and chicken soup.

    Renee,

Thanks for posting the recipe. I am cooking it right now, except for a few changes.

I didn't have the bullion, so I subsituted 4 tsp of chicken bullion

And I added some browned sausage that was in the fridge.

Not so low fat now, but hope it comes out good.
    Happy Day!!!
