Unhappy 5 a day (fruits & Veggie) are you doing that?

Gosh, I have been trying to increase my intake of fruits and Veggies...I have been able to get at least 2 fruits in almost everyday...and the veggies is a little harder, although I eat Veggie burgers for lunch..they probably count as a veggie....

how are you all doing at this? seems like a lot of fruit to intake...LOL...

so snickers aren't a fruit or veggie

I find it easy to get the fruits in, because I like fruits, but am bad with veggies.
I usually always have a fruit with my lunch, a glass of juice at playschool with snack, and the individual fruit cups or applesauce make great snacks during gymnastics breaks(which some days is my supper)

Pretty good. You have to remember a serving isn't a big as you think it is. I have a banana and strawberries in my cereal and that is two servings right there. If you have a salad, and veggies and fruit at dinner, that's three servings ...

Here's a reminder on what are servings........

1 serving of veggies = 1 cup raw leafy greens, 1/2 cup any other chopped vegetable, 3/4 cup vegetable juice

1 serving of fruit = 1 medium apple, banana, or orange; 1/2 cup chopped fruit or berries; 3/4 cup fruit juice.

I do really well with my fruits and veggies....I think I definately go over the recommended number because I love salad and stir-fry and eat fruit /carrot sticks during the day
