Talk ok, I am taking back the house

this is my second try at this....first thread disappeared

Well, after the weekend I had I decided to take my POWER back....these two kids had me going nuts...screaming and yelling...yikes...I didn't recognize myself...it was nutty..dh was gone all day sunday and when he got home late sunday night...I fell apart and here I thought I needed Hormones or prozack....I just need to get my life back in some sense of order...schedualed...something... I did start my St. Johns Wort again...when taken with food it doesn't seem to give me a headache...

Anyway dh and I had a great lengthy talk...we agreed that with our ds...who is so mouthy and consumed by two computer games we have...they are gone...no more...everything revolved around them...it was getting on the edge of obsessive....so they are outta here....ds is totally sulking...but his attidude has shrunken in just 1 day....he is also reading more books alone...I have noticed....
for dd...and ds no more tv after 7:30 pm...they can read or play with each other in thier rooms...that are full of toys....

    I am not a short order cook either....ONE family meal...eat it..don't eat it....if you don't eat it...or try it....nothing else will be made available...sorry....

HARSH huh...I was just at my wits end....thanks for being my emotional support here.....thanks for letting me type this again...

Way to go, Renee! I hope your changes go smoothly and that you notice a difference.

Sometimes it gets so wearing to listen to all of the bickering and whining, feeling like a 24 hour servant for everyone, and dealing with the constant challenges because they think they are the boss! LOL! Oldest ds has been really sassy and bossy lately - I think I am due to take charge again here, too! LOL!

I was thinking about this, and it really highlights the difference in our personalities.
YOU thought you were upset because YOU were losing it.

It would never even occur to ME, that it could be something wrong with ME, but most obviously, the unruly people living in my house that were messing up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

Sorry I didn't respond to your post Renee... for some reason I missed it... I hope everything is going well for you, and the kids are behaving much better now with all of their new restrictions. Sometimes kids give you no choice but to be a big meany... it's about the only way you can actually get them to stop and listen to what your trying to tell them.
