What you are talking about is a very common phenomenon. One of the things the Oprah book "Make the Connection" book (my weight loss Bible!) warns you about is that others wil consciously or subconciously try to ruin your diet. I think part of it is jealousy and part of it is just human nature.
People get used to seeing us and themselves as a certain way and that is what they expect to see. My neighbor Karla always tries to push food on me b/c she thinks I have lost too much weight. But the funny thing is that I consider myself a little heavy for what I weighed in college! She is just used to seeing me as "fat" Brian.
My mother also likes to worry. She is almost like Ray Romano's mom on "Everybody Loves Raymond." I think she is happiest when she has something to worry about. She could complain about how much I weigh and offer me some biscuits and gravy in the same sentence! lol
You just set a goal and stick to your guns honey! It is normal to try and encourage people to lose weight whenever you lose weight. You feel good and want others to feel the same. However, ... we all have to do it in our own time. If people ask your advice I'd share away. Otherwise wait and let them come to you.
