I had just turned 26 when I had ds. Sometimes I think I should have had him earlier too...like three years earlier, but I think 26 was a good age.

I sometimes wonder if we were too old for dd (36 and 39).

I was 22, almost 23 when dd was born, dh was 27. Sometimes I think that was too young, but all in all we did okay. I'll be almost 33 when this one is born, and dh will be 37. We'll see what ten years of life experience does.
Today is a new day and a good day to start anew.

I was 21 and dh was 25 when we had our dd. Honestly I don't think it was too young, but who knows. We've survived! LOL

My parents were 27 when they had me and I always felt like my paretns were SO old compared to all my friend's parents and in fact there were older than most of them. I always wanted to have my children when I was fairly young.

At this point, I will just take things as they come!!

People these days have children well into their 40's and sometimes 50's. Seems like people are waiting to get married and have children when they are older and they start their careers first.

I was 36 when dd came along. It definitely wasn't too old, but it is different. I am older than alot of the mom's in her class, and that is hard sometimes they are all still having babies and I am going through menopause so we don't have that much in common! LOL BUT, would I have not had dd cause of that? NO way!!!!

I was 27 when dd was born and dh was 35 - pretty good ages.

I'm now 34 and dh is turning 42..... dh's age is weighing heavily on my mind as to continue or not. (most days I'm okay with not)
But Ann's comment made me stop and think........

    ARggg....good or bad, Jen?? LOL

Just to muddle the waters for you more,...
I often wonder if I was too old for her. I sometimes worry that I wasn't as "fun" of a mom with her, but already more set in my ways. Plus, she is only now starting to have her own life, she really has just stayed in ds' shadow for so long going to all of his activities. I worry about their age difference contributing to how they don't really get along, and they are only 4.5 years apart. I notice how easy it is when I just have one of them around! LOL

We didn't have a 3rd kid cause dh said he was too old for more after dd came along. He was 39, and figured it would take probably 2+ years for another, and he didn't want to do that. But that was just him, that was a 3rd kid and that was $25,000 more..so those could have aged him just as well! LOL

    But am I sorry? No..do I wonder sometimes...yep.

    Oh definitely good
I'm wondering if the good that he, and the baby and we as a family would receive from having another would outweigh the issue of his age.
Still - he'd be nearly 50 when the kid started kindergarten!!
Ok, I think I'm back to not trying for anymore!!

27 for dd and 30 fo ds. I think its a perfect age because I never think back and wish I had more "me" time. I exhausted my singlehood with lots of fun.
