    Learn at Home

Has anyone used these books? If so, what did you think of them?

They are great. I used this book a lot when I was teaching my day care kids their preschool program. I used the Kindergarten book... which worked out great. It provides 36 weeks of lesson plans in six curriculum areas... Reading, Language, Gross/Fine Motor Skills, Math, Science and Social Studies. Art, Music and movement activities are also integrated into the curriculum, as well as additional suggestions for activities beyond the "classroom". I liked it because it I needed something that I could work through and follow. I'm not a teacher and had it not been for this book I would have had a very hard time trying to come up with the proper way of teaching them and making it interesting. LOL The worksheets were easy enough for them to follow... (I made copies of them for each child) I really liked it and plan on using the 1st grade book next year for some of them.

MM! We use them. I think they're fine when used as a guide. They cover the basics and are easy to follow and understand. I'm sure every subject and materials are getting covered. That takes a lot of pressure off me. We supplement almost every subject sometime during the year, mainly math and English. Our homeschool style is constantly evolving and leaning more in the direction of an unschooling computerized Charlotte Mason method. Go figure. I've bought them on ebay for less than $8, including shipping.ßß!
