    Easter Crafts

    Hi:

I am looking for Easter craft ideas for pre-schoolers 2-3 year olds. I found some for here http://www.familiesonlinemagazine.com/Eastercrafts.html but most are for school age kids. Any ideas welcome.

Have you tried decorating hard boiled eggs? A fun easy way is to put waxed paper/ parchment paper or just plain paper in the bottom of a low cardboard box (like a beer/pop flat) or a cookie sheet or cake pan. Put two or three drops of non-toxic paint on the wax paper. Place the hard boiled egg in the try and roll around (like marble painting) You have a decorated egg and a pretty picture.
As far as I know the egg is still safe to eat.
There is another less messy way to decorate eggs using a coffee filter. I don't remember exactly how to do it and I've never tried it. If I find the directions I'll post them.

Have you ever painted with peeps? Use vanilla pudding and dip marshmallow peeps in it. Sponge paint on paper. I've never tried it. Supposedly the color of the peeps is supposed to blend into the pudding making it colored. I haven't tried this one either. If you are concerned about using food items for art, you could let them paint on wax paper and then use their fingers to lick it off.

I'll have to think on this some more.
Wouldn't it be nice if every time we messed up our life we could press CTRL ALT DEL and start all over??
