Thread: Okay... What Changed?

I've been getting some weird information here since last night. I know the clock setting changed to GMT. I can make that adjustment, I think. But do I have to register every time I come here now? It's hard enough for me to remember my name. Do I have to strain my memory for my password when I check in? I liked when IB kept track of what I read so I didn't have to.

Hopefully, it's just a glitch...course that's what I hoped when my battery light went on in my car. Yahoo, I am now the proud owner of a new alternator. (Not the most expensive thing to replace, but don't tell that to my mechanic or my car!)

Curiouser and curiouser... Now I'm back to GMT-6. Do I have to relive the past six hours? Can I take a nap?

LOL! Sorry you were having a hard time! Weird about the clock...glad it's back to the right time now. Don't think it's mandatory to relive the past 6 hours, though! A nap would work for me, though...I think you definitely should do that! LOL!

p.s. Bummer about your car! Alternators aren't cheap!

I ditto Mickey's bummer about the car. I had to replace my alternator twice in one year and I have to replace it at least once a year anyway. My car eats breaks and alternators. I hope that we are getting a new one soon.

Mickey, Thanks for the go ahead on the nap. I really need it. What time will you be here to take dd's (14 and 12) for their haircuts? And could you stop at the store for toothpaste, milk, and butter? And what are we having for dinner? You're the best!!!

Leigh, How patient you must be to keep replacing the same part. I go back and (without getting mad or acting upset) ask the mechanic when would be a good time to pick up my re-repaired vehicle. Then I remind him that he'll need to drive me home and pick my up when it's done. I know that my car (or maybe my driving?!) is tough on brakes, but no way will I pay for a repair twice in a year. This car is 9 years old and has 125K miles. I want a new one and I guess I can afford one (OUCH!!), but I don't know what I want, so I keep stalling. With another repair, I feel like I have to hang on a little longer.

I've got to get a brake job done on my car real quick too. I've got an 87 LaBarron that only has 47,000 miles on it... and still has the origional tires. LOL I haven't had to stick too much money into it, so can't complain. If I had to constantly have the same parts repaired/replaced though... I also wouldn't be too happy either
