Before Christmas I was talking with one of my Avon customers. She rarely orders anything because her husband has been sick and unable to work for a couple years now. She has to help take care of him so she's not able to work. About the same time dh sold our treadmill to a neighbor on a whim. (we just wanted it out of our living room but hadn't actively been trying to sell it). Dh said he couldn't stop thinking about this family and we both agreed to give them the money from the treadmill. Believe me we really could have used the money, but it felt so good to give it away. The lady called me up the day she received it and said she was in tears. Her dh couldn't believe that there are still nice people in this world that would do something like that.

I LOVE surprising people with things anonymously but I don't take the opportunities as often as I should.

I will sure try to do more.
Wouldn't it be nice if every time we messed up our life we could press CTRL ALT DEL and start all over??

    I finally thought of one!!

Last summer I was talking to an old neighbor who is single and struggles financially to make it month by month. She mentioned something about her lawn mower not working...at that point she was actually trying to "mow" with her weed trimmer. We still had our push mower and had no use for it, so when she was at work we dropped it off at her house. She did call and ask if it was from us and I told her, but otherwise I would have left it as anonymous.

This isn't exactly a "random act of kindness"... but I was kind. On Monday night when my mom and I went to the grocery store... While I was waiting in line I noticed this cute little ol lady standing way back in the line next to mine. She only had about 7 or so articles, so I let her get ahead of me. I couldn't believe nobody else noticed or cared... When I see people, especially if they're right behind me, who hardly has anything in their carts... I'll let them go ahead of me. Nothing wonderful... just, nice.

I did it!! I took the kids to Burger King yesterday and bought them meals. Since I didn't get one for myself (Yeah!) I paid for the person behind me.

The thing that is hard is that you don't get to see their excitement! I did giggle like I little girl though

    Any other ideas?

Nothing big here, but I let a car in ahead of me in a long line. I am going to try and do better!
