Talking I finally made an appointment

I have three small skin tags under my right eye....been there for a while...yesterday I notice they seem to be getting bigger....so...I have been putting it off...and I made an appointment....they can see me tommorrow....WOW....said sometimes they can remove them in the office with liquid nitro....all this time I have been afraid to go in...and it might be a simple thing.....DUH...I feel relieved...or I will after I go tommorrow...

Good girl! I've got several under my arms so let me know what it's like getting them removed, okay? I'm soooooo about stuff like that. I just made a dental appointment that I've been putting off forever. Putting it off longer doens't help since I've not been in almost 10 years. I'm just scared of what they're going to find in my mouth. Chewing is decidedly uncomfortable right now.
Today is a new day and a good day to start anew.

Pam, I've had one removed and it's just a short, little clip. No biggie.

Way to go, Renee! Do let us know how it goes. Dh has one under his arm that could go.

Pam - I hear ya about the dentist. I hadn't been in 4 years and went a couple weeks ago. I don't know what my fear there is - everything is pretty pain free these days. I only had 1 cavity and there's a couple OLD fillings he wants to replace. For some reason that darn novicaine shot freaks me out.

From dd3 who I discussed this with just yesterday.... "what does she mean by clip?? Ewww. " It's a sincere question as she has a couple that are bugging her. TIA

I've had some removed with liquid nitro. It's not painful at all. But mine were on my side not near my eye. I've got a friend who has them all over her neck and she will sometimes clip them off with nail clippers. I don't recommend that!

I need to see my dermatologist and have a good going over. I've got tags and moles I should have her look at.

I haven't been to the dentist in a year. That's on my list for the summer. I usually go every 6 months like clockwork but lately my jaw has been locking during the exam which freaks me out. Then the dentist has to come in and put it back in place and if he doesn't get to it right then it really causes pain up near my ears. He's suggested that I have my wisdom teeth removed and he thinks that would help. But they don't bother me and I don't relish the idea of having them dug out. One is in sideways and I'm sure would have to be taken out a piece at a time.

Easy Peasy!!!! I've had them "clipped"...my doctor used a little (sterile) scissors. No big deal...a couple of drops of blood...and no pain.

Cathy - like Mary said... small scissors and tweezers to pull it away from the skin (if I remember correctly). He must have put the liquid nitro, b/c I was surprised to see the spots were black when I got to the car! Just put on a band-aid and went about my business.
SO - that said - don't do it if they are going to show and you have somewhere important to go! lol

I've had quite a few removed... and it was a piece of cake. LOL I've also clipped a few off myself and they've done fine too.

Good luck with your appointment today... let us know how it went.

I am so nervous I am hoping its easy and they can remove them right there on the spot....but am scared because they are under my eye...that they will send me to a Dermatologist and then I would have to wait even longer....

I wish I had never put this off....

As for you afraid of your DENTIST appointments...GO NOW....you only get one set of teeth.....it is always scarier not knowing....right....
