Not to be sexist, but I don't know many females that like Monty Python.

To show her true love for me, Angie R. bought me The Holy Grail, The Life of Brian, and The Meaning of Life for Christmas one year. But... I'm not to watch them when she is around! lol

... we have a similar rule about Dirty Dancing
I love Monty Python! I must admit, Life of Brian was much funnier after I lived in England for a while...there are quite a few terms, references, gestures and slang words they use that I didn't fully "get" before living there. I also love British sit-coms like Faulty Towers (with John Cleese), Are You Being Served, and Black Adder with Rowan Atkinson. Funny stuff!

    Amy/Co.

I liked Chris Miller when he was on Letterman, but I have not seen Cabin Boy.

Raising Arizona is another one of my favorites. Except for the Godfather movies, I've never been a big fan of drama. But... Angie R and I are watching the top 100 Films rated by the AFI.

I watched Casablanca and Gone With the Wind for the first time this year and really enjoyed both movies!

To those who like Monty Python (and how can you not?) There was also a show on SEVERAL years back -- in my hometown it came on after Benny Hill -- and had a guy named Dave as the host. It was pretty funny, too.

To those who like the British sitcoms like Are You Being Served, there is another great one called Keeping Up Appearances -- it is about a lady named Hyacinth and her sisters: Daisy, a slobbish woman; Rose, a tramp; and Violet, who drives a mercedes and has room for a pony (sorry this won't make sense to some -- that is a line from the show). It is really funny.

    Talking kathleen

I think the show you are thinking of was "Dave Allen at Large."

    Does that sound right?

I had to blow some dust off my cerebellum to come up with that name!
